I haven't been couponing as much as I was. I've been busy busy working 2 jobs and preparing to go to Kenya in less than 65 days!
Yesterday and today I had to great trips to Harris Teeter. I'm not going to blog about yesterday's right now because I don't have the receipt in front of me lol.
This morning there were people in line waiting on the store to open when I arrived about 5 til.
I love it when the purina cat food is on sale the same time as super doubles especially when there are good coupons out for it.
I bought: 4 3lb bags of purina cat chow
1 febreeze air effects spray
1 crest toothpaste
1 bag of oral b floss picks
2 bags of newtons fruit crisp cookies
2 bottles of pantene shampoo
1 digorono pizzeria pizza
I only spent $4.30 total and $1.25 of that was tax.
I had zvr coupons to go with several items such as the febreeze, oral b picks, crest, as well as the pantene. Going back after work to use a few more coupons.

I try to find manuf. coupons to match zvr's because I'm always about paying the least out of pocket. Yesterday I knew I would have overage so I ended up getting some things that were on sale and I had coupons for but no zvr's.

I bought

1 can of wolf chilli with beans
2 bags of green giant tortilla chips on sale bogo
1 box of keebler pretzel bites
1 box of weight watcher's carrot cake snacks
1 box of van's whole grain waffles
1 container of smart balance butter

I had a zvr for everything but the weight watchers and the waffles but these were both on sale bogo and I had coupons for both.

So I'm thinking I got everything for free except the waffles and the weight watchers and only paid about .99 each for them.

So including tax I paid $2.18 and saved $20.94 yesterday at Harris Teeter.J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-19121784946564590212013-02-09T07:57:00.001-08:002013-02-09T07:57:59.970-08:00Spent .77 Saved $54 @ CVSThis week I hit the jackpot at CVS. I haven't been going to cvs quite as much as usual. I haven't gotten many ecb's in a while other than the one I get for the gree bag tag. Well this week that all changed. My first trip in this week I purchased 2 of the crest pro health that were on sale 2/$5 with the $2 ecb back. This tootpaste works really well for me and I'm not about to pay the regular high price. I also picked up a box of the nature made b complex 60 ct energy vitamin. It's regularly $10.49 at my store and not included in the nature made that was on sale this week. I had a $10 coupon for this. The beauty was that I was unaware of til the cashier scanned the coupon was that the coupon took off $15 for some odd reason instead of $10. The cashier was obviously surprised as well. This was a cashier who is a shift manager and has worked at this store forever. She didn't adjust it down or anything. I also had 2 .75 coupons for the toothpaste so all together I paid .4 tax and saved $19.08 and got back $2 ecb's for the crest. Day #1 of being paid to shop.

Yesterday I went back to cvs and had a $5/$15 loaded to my card. Of course they were out of the scott that was on sale that I had planned on buying. So on to plan b which was limited because I didn't have all my coupons with me. I purchased 2 1ct. venus razors that were on sale for$7.39 with a $4 ecb back for 1. I also had a coupon from the coupon center for $2/2 toothpaste as well as 2 .50/1 coupons for colgate. They had colgate with mini breath strips on clearance for .97. I had a buy 1 get 1 free coupon for gillette disposable razors. That coupon took off the max. value of $11.99. So that put me in the negative so I ran and grabbed 3 more of the clearance toothpaste. So tax was .99 but my negative still ate some of that so I only owed .73 tax for 5 crest and 2 venus razors. If that's not good enough I got back $4 ecb's for the razor.

So between both days I spent .77 and saved $54 and got back $6 ecb's.J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-38795734734519129172013-01-29T07:08:00.000-08:002013-01-29T07:08:24.561-08:00CVS Deal Of The Day- $2/1 Campbell'sThese chilly days we all know how nice a warm bowl of soup taste. Well today you can get a coupon for 2/$1 campbell's soup 10.5-11.5oz. Every day ( I think) over at CVS's website they have a deal of the day. A cvs coupon available to print that day only with a special savings only good with that coupon. The soup is currently on sale for .99 but for you if you print the coupon you can get 2 cans for .50 each. Manufactur coupons can be used with these deals but in this case it's a better deal not to use additional coupons. You must print the coupon today but tomorrow is the last day you can use it.J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-11550830205187026612013-01-29T07:01:00.001-08:002013-01-29T07:01:19.467-08:00$1/1 Wheat Thin PrintableI just found an awesome printable coupon for wheat thins. I don't know about you but I love me some wheat thins. Although I'm not going to pay the higher prices they normally cost. Head on over to: http://musthavewheatthins.com/ and click on the the get coupon button on the left hand side of the screen to print your coupon for $1/1 box of wheat thin cracker 5.5oz or larger. Now wait on a sale. I'm pretty sure grocery stores have them buy 1 get 1 free at times. Don't forget if you buy 2 during one of those sales you still may use 2 coupons at Harris Teeter or Food Lion. Dollar General also accepts coupons so you might want to check there as well. Also you could save it til Harris Teeter does super doubles again (next month) and use it then to get $2 off. Wouldn't it be sweet if they were also on sale for buy 1 get 1 free then.

So head over to get your coupon now :)))J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-26898482774392389602013-01-28T07:19:00.002-08:002013-01-28T07:19:49.442-08:00Old Navy Bargin @ A Consignment ShopIt's been a very long time since I've done of of these post but it's about a deal I got without using a coupon!! I went to one of my local consignment shops last week to browse. I'm already on the lookout for skirts and tops to take on my mission trip this summer. I've said from the beginning I know this trip is going to cost a lot but I'm going to coupon/bargin shop as much as I can. Well my find last wed. even wasn't clothes. It was a bookbag. A bookbag that I plan to carry as my personal item on the plane. It's a nice Old Navy bookbag that has a deep main pocket as well as 2 other pockets on the outside. It also has a small pocket on the inside. Lots of room for all my stuff. It also has nice padded straps. Ok, what kind of price would you say for the consigment shop? Was priced $8. I really hated to pay that for it even though I knew it was a great price. I probably would have paid it anyway. I noticed that someone had taken the scissors to one of the straps. So I asked the owner if she would take any less because of the cut strap. She said she even hadn't noticed and she would knock some off. I was thinking she might take off $1. Well she took off half. Making the bag $4. Well needless to say once she said $4 I knew I was getting the bookbag. My mom's already sewed up the strap and it's good as new.

This proves that you can find some name brand nice stuff at consignment stores. This time of year is really a good time to check them out. They're running specials trying to get rid of winter stuff to make room for spring. One of the other consignment shops in my area is doing away with children's toys and baby gear such as bouncies, etc. So they're all half price. As long as it's in good shape and clean who says it has to be new??

Are you a consignment shop junkie? Or are they not your cup of tea? If you are I would love to hear about your finds in the comment section below. If you don't "do" consignment shops I would love to hear from you too.J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-4795168220628303442013-01-25T15:05:00.001-08:002013-01-25T15:05:53.529-08:00Spent .71 Saved $6 @ Harris TeeterThis week I found a coupon from coupons.com for $3 off south beach diet products. The coupon listed several different items such as smoothies and snack bars. Harris Teeter sales the boxes of snack bars for $3.29. Needless to say I went "wild" with this coupon. You can't beat .29 for a box of snack bars, and I think they're actually pretty good. I found 2 diffent links for the coupon so that allowed me to print a total of 4 from my one printer. I also had some friends to print me some as well. If in case you're wondering no I haven't cleared any shelves. I paid .58 before tax for 2 boxes. After you add the .11 tax it comes out to .71 for 2 boxes of south beach diet snack bars. Woohoo!!J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-51465486088599650152013-01-14T10:28:00.001-08:002013-01-14T10:28:43.565-08:00What Good Deals Can U Get This Week.I know I go on and on about my coupon savings but you want to know how you can get the deals.

Do you still have the coupons that came in yesterday's paper? Stop, don't throw them out!! Actually if you don't get the newspaper you can go to redplum.com or smartsource.com and print out what are I believe the same coupons. The coupon you need to look for is .50/1 bird's eye steamfresh chef's favorite. These are on sale this week at Harris Teeter for buy 1 get 1 free. You can get them for .24 a bag after you use the coupon and it doubled. Everyone that buys frozen veggies knows you can't beat that.

Also have you checked out pillsbury.com for coupons? Great site for printables. I found .85/1 coupons for cereal on there. Keep in mind .85 coupons will double. The Fiber One is on sale at H. Teeter this week for 2/$5. After 2 .85/1 coupons doubled and a .75/1 coupon loaded to my card I paid .85 for 2 boxes. That's what you would have paid doing it like I listed. Actually I didn't pay that much because I bought other stuff and used a $3 off next order coupon. Also the cheerios are on sale for the same price. I had a .85 coupon for the peanutbutter multigrain cheerios and had a .75 coupon for those as well on my card. Well of course everyone in my town my had coupons too because those were wiped out. No worries, I did get a rain check for them. After coupons thse will be .5.

Find your coupons and hurry out and get these deals. Don't forget the sale changes at Harris Teeter on Wed. If they're out get a raincheck. Remember rainchecks at Harris Teeter never expire.J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-42406291123493728162013-01-08T04:48:00.002-08:002013-01-08T04:48:38.617-08:00Spent $0 Saved $18.73Yesterday I got a real surprise when I went to CVS. I picked up four packs of the stayfree pads that were on sale buy 1 get 1 free. I also grabbed 1 of the good n natural bars that were on sale for .99. Of course I had coupons for everything. I had 2 buy 1 get 1 free coupons for the pads and a free coupon for the bar. All coupons came out in 1/6 inserts. The pads were only $4.19 but to my advantage the register automatically took off the max value which was $4.49. So therefore between the 2 coupons it ate up my tax. My balance came out to .-1. I had a coupon friendly cashier who is always excited to see my deals. I wasn't prepared for an overage so I hadn't gotten anything else to cover it. Sometimes I will have coupons for whatever I get to cover overage. The cashier played around with it for a min. and reduced the .-1. I didn't ask her to do this and told her I didn't want her to get in trouble. She said she wouldn't. Can't believe I saved $18.73 and didn't even pay one penny!!!

I've got more stayfree coupons on the way. When I go back with them I will be prepared for overage and have other items and coupons ready to eat it up. J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-58089690694536394812013-01-03T11:54:00.000-08:002013-01-03T11:54:04.544-08:00How Did I Spend $10 and Save $70 @ Harris TeeterI know many of you wonder how in the world people like me do it. Spend so little and save so much. It's not really as hard as you think.

I'm going to try and break down for you what I got and coupon amounts used to try and help you see how it's done.

I bought:

1 3pack of id gum-used $1.50/1 internet printable which made it free after doubling
4 2 packs of Rightguard soap on clearance for $1.69, had $2/4 coupon that doubled (I think that was coupon value)
6 3lb bags of purina cat chow ( had raincheck for buy 1 get 1 free. 3 deals was the limit on the raincheck, which means I could get 6 bags. I used 2 $1.50 coupons, and 4 $1/1 coupons. All coupons doubled. $5.59 was the reg. price for one bag.
2 3packs of ivory soap. $1.75 each. Used 1 $1/2 coupon from 12/30 p&g and $1/2 zvr
4 hormel compleats microwavable dinners. On sale for $1.97 had $1/1 coupons, making them free after doubling.
6 classico pasta sauces. Used $1/2 coupons which doubled making them .49 a jar
2 boxes of south beach cereal bars. Reg. $3.29 and box, I had $2 coupons which doubled making them free
1 bottle herbal essence shampoo on clearance for $2.50. Used $1/1 coupon from 12/30 p&g and $1 zvr herbal essence gave me .50 overage

My total bill was $10.03 and $1.65 of that was tax. I saved $70.02 I forgot to mention I got back a $3 coupon off my next shopping order for buying the classico sauce. That's another great reason to take advantage of the classico deal. You don't need to buy as many as I did, to get a coupon I think you only need to buy 2-3 to get a $1 or $2 coupon.

I didn't buy any of this stuff just to be buying it. I'm already collecting stuff to take to Kenya this summer so that's where the soap and gum are going. I must admit the only reason I bought the shampoo was for the overage it would apply to the rest of my order since it was free. .49 a jar is a stockup price if you ask me!!

If you went to Harris Teeter this week I would love to hear what you got. Or if you're new and trying to comprehend all this just leave me a comment.J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-40494302026254690952013-01-01T06:00:00.002-08:002013-01-01T06:00:41.164-08:00Happy New Year!!! Super Doubles Are Here :) Where To Find The Coupons At For The FreebiesHappy New Year!!!

A wonderful way to start the New Year Harris Teeter is starting another week long Super Double coupon event starting tomorrow Jan. 2nd that will run through Jan.8. Once again this time the coupons $2 and under will double. With the normal exclusions of those coupons that begin with 9 or say do not double.

Don't forget about printable coupons if you have access to a printer. I know people who don't do the printable coupons but it's really worth it if you can. Where as you can double 3 like manuf. coupons per transaction you can only use 2 identical internet coupons per transaction. You can use as many internet coupons as you like up to the 20 a day limit. You just can't use more than 2 identical ones.

2 coupons that you need to go grab right now for freebies would both be on coupons.com . There is a $2 coupon on any southbeach diet product. This coupon will double to $4 and will make the box of 5 pack bars free. Also there is a $1.50 coupon for a 3 pack of stride id gum. After doubling you will get a 3 pack of gum for free. It's currently on sale through next week for $3. The kids always want gum or you could always donate it.

There was a coupon in the p&g insert that came out 12/30 for $1/1 herbal essence item. My Harris Teeter has some of the herbal essence on clearance for $2.50. Check your e coupons or zvr's. I also had a $1 e coupon for herbal essence. This would give me .50 overage that would apply to the rest of my order. There were many p&g coupons added to the e coupons this week so if you haven't checked yours lately now would be a good time to check yours.

Talk to you soon.
The past few weeks HT hasn't had anything that I could use. I went yesterday and grabbed the Kellogg's cereal promotion where you bought 4 and got $1 off each box. In cases like this I always first look to see which cereals are already on sale and then look for coupons for these. The Value Size Rasin Bran was on sale 2/$4.15. The Kellogg's Crunchy Nut were also on sale for $2.50 each. I got two boxes of each and the register took off $4 for the promotion. I had an $1/2 coupon for the Rasin Bran and (2) .70/1 coupons for the Crunchy Nut. I also picked up 3 boxes of the Green Giant frozen veggies that were also on my e-vic for .97 each. I had a .60/3 coupon for these. After coupons doubling and all discounts I walked away paying only $3.18 for everything and saving $19.59.J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-41901853241999050922012-10-02T05:24:00.001-07:002012-10-02T05:24:23.859-07:00Spent .06 Saved $14 This is totally worth sharing even though it was a few weeks ago. Some of the kellogg's cereal was on e-vic where you got so much off each box. I got 2 boxes of apple jacks and 2 boxes of frosted flakes. I had 4 .50/1 coupons that doubled and both of the cereals were on sale buy 1 get 1 free. Before coupons after the e-vic 2 boxes would have cost me $1.65. After e-vic and coupons 4 boxes of cereal cost me a whole .02!!! I was beyond thrilled. With .04 tax added on I paid .06 for all 4 and saved $14. Can't beat 4 boxes of cereal for .06!!J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-82377915354591301752012-10-02T05:14:00.001-07:002012-10-02T05:14:14.841-07:00CVS Paid $4.14 Saved $36.43I went to CVS yesterday loaded with coupons hoping to get the $10/$50 from the coupon machine like I had read some of you had gotten. Well I didn't get it so I made the best of it. I was wanting to spend the least out of pocket as possible.

I purchased

2 Pantene shampoo
2 Pantene hair sprays
1 tresseme shampoo
1 tresseme conditioner
1 tresseme hairspray
1 cvs shampoo

I had 2 bogo coupons on the pantene. The hairspray was on clearance for $2.99 but the coupon took off the max. value which covered both the shampoo and hairspray. I had a tresseme coupon that came out 9/30 if you bought a shampoo and conditioner you got styling product free. Tresseme is on sale 2/$7 I also had a $2/2 tresseme coupon for the coupon machine. The manuf took of $6 for the hairspray when it was only $3.50 so after all my coupons I only paid $2.50 for it and this is the kind my dad uses so it will be used and that's a good price for it. I had a $3 off cvs haircare print out at the red coupon machine and the cvs shampoo was $2.99 making it free as well.Tax is what got me here though. The whole transaction the hairspray is the only thing I paid for alnd all the rest was tax. I spent $4.14 in all but saved $36.43.J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-73799084830546698082012-10-02T04:58:00.001-07:002012-10-02T04:58:10.810-07:00Been MIA But Not From SavingWhile I've been mia from the blog for the past few weeks I've not been missing out on saving money. Last week Harris Teeter had Breyer's ice cream buy 2 get 3 free. Everyone in my family has birthdays within 5 weeks of one another so this was a great time for me to stock up on icecream. Yes, I even had coupons. I had 2 coupons for .75/1 breyer's product. Keep in mind the coupons doubled. I also had a raincheck from a few weeks ago when the Palermo's pizza's were on e-vic for $2.47. I had 2 $1 coupons for these. So I went ahead and grabbed them too. For 5 cartons of breyer's and 2 palermo's thin crust supreme pizzas I pad $11.02 and saved $23.67.J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-55731888419898702542012-09-14T15:56:00.002-07:002012-09-14T15:56:42.196-07:00HT Super Doubles Spent $1.98 Saved $43.07Just got back from Harris Teeter and my best trip yet this week. I ended up in the negative's which was no real suprise to me. I thought it might happen but then when I saw everything that my store was out of I wasn't so sure. I was prepared and knew what I was going to grab if I ended up there. I know the point of getting out of the negative's is to make your bill higher but yes I even had coupons for the stuff I got to get me out of the negative's.

I checked my zvr coupons this morning and there were some new awesome ones to load. P&G had lots of good ones especially paired with the manuf coupons.

Most of my coupons expired the 31 so I knew I needed to hurry and use them. Last Sun. I went and got 6 packs for $2 a pack with my raincheck and used 6 $2 stayfree coupons and got them all for free paying on .81 tax. Really I saved more than $12 because they are normally more than $2 each. I love it when I don't have to worry about finding a coupon or deal when we need something because I'm already stocked up on that item.J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-27990296156488162462012-08-13T07:24:00.001-07:002012-08-13T07:24:29.963-07:00Trip #2 Harris Teeter Super DoublesTrip 2 to HT wasn't nearly as good but this trip I got more things we actually needed that were a good price. Not free but a good deal. I spent $7.28 and saved $28.18 this trip.

I bought:

1 pack of Gerber Yogurt melts
1 pouch of Gerber Organic 2nd foods
3 boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios
1 box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch
3 jars of Welch's Grape Jelly
1 pack of Wet Ones wipes
1 gallon of HT Reduced Fat Milk

The e-vic specials that were sent to my e-mail this weekend were really great. The milk was on e-vic for $2.47 and the cereal was $1.97 each and I had coupons for each box making them on $2.28 for all 4 boxes. I also had a .50 zvr for the cinnamon toast crunch. The jelly was buy 1 get 1 free and I had .35/1 coupons I used on each jar. J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-19902862773194681722012-08-13T07:08:00.005-07:002012-08-13T07:08:58.511-07:00Spent .65 Saved $45.07Here's my first Super Doubles post from last Wed. at Harris Teeter. I did really awesome on this trip. Originally I ended up with a negative $1.38 subtotal so I went and grabbed a cake mix that was on sale for $1.99. After that my subtotal for everything purchased was only .5 .65 after tax. I had zvr coupons loaded to my card which gave me quite a bit of overage that came off my total bill since the zvr coupons were for items that I was already getting for free thanks to manuf. coupons. so therefore the zvr coupons came off the rest of my bill. HT does not give overage on paper coupons but does on zvr coupons. I love this about HT. So now on to what I bought.

1 bottle of Hungry Jack Lite Syrup
1 box of Hungry Jack Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancake Mix
1 Duncan Hines cake mix
1 Eat, Think, Smile Bar
1 box of Tampax Compak
1 pack of Stayfree Maxi pads
1Mam Pacifier clip holder
1 Eggo Homestyle Waffles
1 Eggo Strawberry Struddles
2 Vanilla Silk Soymilk cartons
4 Met Rx bars

All of this for .5 plus tax. Can't beat that with a stick :)))J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-71023319893313420172012-08-04T06:18:00.000-07:002012-08-04T06:24:24.743-07:00Spent $9.21 Saved $106.98 @ CVSMon. night I went to CVS to see what kind of deals I could get with the olay promotion and rebate. I spent way more out of pocket then I normally would ever spend and I had some extra care bucks to use. Unfortunately I can't list all the specific extra care bucks I used because I don't know how many I had.

I bought

4 boxes of the olay 2in1 cloths 33ct
3 boxes of the olay cloths 30ct
6 bottles of head & shoulders shampoo
4 bottles of olay body wash
1 cvs body wash

I used a $3/$15 olay coupon from the coupon center
$2 cvs body wash coupon from the coupon center
3 BOGO head & shoulders coupons ex. 7/31
3 $3/2 olay cleansing cloths
4 Get olay body wash free when you buy cleansing cloths
$4 (possibly more in ECB's

Pretax total was $4.02, after tax it was $9.21

I got $10 ecb's back from head & shoulders and olay
Got $5 ECB's from beauty club
and will get $10 back from olay rebate

Now for my question for those of you who have done the olay rebate. Is this rebate really $30 before coupons? I've heard conflicting rumors so please comment below and let me know because I really want the rebate but don't want to mess with it if I won't be able to get it. Please leave feedback. This was my last week to purchase stuff for my church's mission team to take to Kenya. I purchased 13 packs of stayfree at Harris Teeter and spent $1.76 tax for them all and saved $49.27. I also got an additional pack at CVS too. It's such an awesome feeling to be able to give to those accross the world in need.
Lately it seems they haven't been anything I could use but today broke that trend. I found several good deals on things we could use in my e-vic mail this morning. On the way home from work I stopped by HT and picked up some things. The Betty Crocker Brownie mix was on sale for .97. The Silk Fruit & Protein drink was on sale for $1.27. Those were the only deals that I got that were on my e-vic. I also purchased a 3 lb bag of meow mix catfood as well as 3 loaves of Nature's Own 100% Whole Wheat Bread on sale for $1.99 each. The cat food was on sale for $4.99 and I have a coupon for .75 making it $3.49. This is a little more than I normally like to pay for catfood, but when the cat needs food, he needs food :) I had 3 .75 coupons for the bread making them only .49 a loaf which you can't beat!! The Silk drink I had 2 .75 coupons making them free, and 1 .75/2 coupon for the brownies making them .44/2. So I'm really pleased with this trip. Spent $5.82 and saved $20.30.J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-69368087300009132692012-07-13T15:37:00.001-07:002012-07-13T15:37:51.954-07:00Spent .35 Tax Saved $38.47 @ CVSAt the beginning of the week I went to CVS to take advantage of the awesome Head & Shoulder's deal. It wasn't all that great without coupons, lol. Head & Shoulder's shampoo and conditioners were on sale buy 1 get 1 50% off. At my store they are regularly $5.99. I had 3 of the buy 1 get 1 free coupons from the recent P&G insert. I bought 6 of the shampoo's some were the 2 in 1 and some were even the kind of scaly heads. The coupons took off $9.49 each. I got a $1 coupon from the coupon center for $1 nivea creams or moisturizer. This coupon worked on the small tin of nivea cream. There was only 1 left in my store so I got it for free as well. Actually my subtotal was in the negative but my tax ate up the negative part and I only ended up paying .35 for $38.47 worth of merchandise. Yes, I have to admit I will be making one last trip tomorrow night to use the last of my head & shoulder's coupons :)J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8008653771695889412.post-47067270526559122702012-07-06T10:32:00.002-07:002012-07-06T10:32:24.026-07:00Spent .76 Tax Saved $13.94I got several of the $2 off any shampoo or styling product coupons from the coupon center last week. I just couldn't hardly stand to see these high value coupons go to waste when I could donate the shampoo to my local food pantry. First stop yesterday I went to CVS and had one of the $2 coupons from the coupon center from last week as well as a Free Cortaid coupon that printed earlier this week from the coupon center. Actually my store has the Cortaid price a little higher than the max value of the coupon but I had a $1 manuf. coupon that I used to cover the difference that the free coupon didn't cover. I bought 2 of the VO5 shampoos that were .99 each and the Cortaid at my store is regularly $6.29. I used the $2 of shampoo coupon to cover both of the shampoos and the free coupon for the cream which took off $5.99 as well as a $1 coupon for the Cortaid from a recent coupon insert. All of this was free and I only had to pay .56 tax.

Later in the day I went to Walgreens where I normally hate to shop. Couponing deals never seem to work for me there. They have the 3pack ivory bar soap on sale this week for .99. There were $1 coupons in this past Sunday's P&G for $1 ivory cleansing item. So for once the cashier knew how to adjust the coupons down and didn't question anything! I got 3 3bar packs for .20 tax. I'm donating these to my church's mission team heading to Kenya.

So all together yesterday I sent .76 tax and saved $13.94. I love me some freebies!!J&Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05350836651001760617noreply@blogger.com0
