Your Frugal Tips
We can't wait to read all of your frugal tips. Leave them below in the comments. Hope you win one of our fun prizes. Even when the giveaway is over be sure to come back and share more tips!
Katy here. My biggest tip would be to eat meals at home and prepare them yourself as often as possible. Eating out is expensive and so are prepared meals. Preparing your own food is a little more time consuming but tastier, healthier, and ultimately cheaper!
i will add to that. when i can, i try to do major grocery shopping just once a month and cook meals in advance for several weeks. fewer trips to the grocery store means fewer impulse buys. and if you have something already prepared you are less likely to get take out or eat out.
Here's how to make a brillo or SOS steel wool pad last a really, really long time... after you use it to scrub your pots, place it in a ziplock type baggie and pop it in the freezer. The air can't get to it and the water freezes, so no rust!
J&J are two friends that found a common bond in saving money and doing things on the cheap. We started the idea of our blog one afternoon discussing coupons and the sales at our local grocery store. J had always wanted to start a blog after seeing the movie Julie and Julia. J had also wanted to do a blog to share her savings with the world. We hope you find our blog fun and informative. Come visit often! We will be keeping up with the latest deals!
