Spent .59 saved $4.34

This morning I got up and out early and went to Food Lion an Harris Teeter . I was after one quick item from each store. First at Food Lion I bought one 16 oz. jar of Vlasic sweet relish it's regularly $1.59 but this week is on sale for Buy 1 Get 1 Free. There was also a red coupon machine there that gave me a coupon for .75/1 vlasic item. I bought one jar of relish and used (1) .75 coupon and got one jar of relish for .6 that's including tax!

Harris Teeter has their Nestle Toll House cookie dough on sale this week 2/$4. It's the 24 pack of premade cookies. I had a .75 coupon for any Nestle Toll House cookie dough and with the coupon doubling at Harris Teeter I got one pack of the Oatmeal Rasin cookies for .53 including tax.

So put these two trips together and I only spent .59 this morning and I saved $4.34!

Haved a blesseed Easter.

Paid .31 tax Saved $4.75 at Food Lion

In yesterday's paper was the $1/1 Marcal coupon. I've learned to clip this coupon every time I find it. Food Lion runs the single roll paper towels on sale for $1. I went to Food Lion today to do some price checking. I checked the paper towels and sure enough the single rolls were on sale for $1. I got 4 rolls used four $1/1 coupons and spent only .31 tax and saved $4.75. The manager saw me checkout again and asked me was he going to have to watch me again like last time. I told him he should because I was going to do the same thing I did last time (get everything for free.) He just shook his head in amazement when he saw my total. This past week I've gotten several free things at Food Lion by just scanning my MVP card at the blue coupon machine as you enter the store. The coupons say free gift and you only have to pay tax on the items. I got a box of Velvetta macaroni and cheese shells and a free 2 liter coke product. It always pays to scan your mvp card just to see if you will get a "free gift" or possibly a coupon for something that's already on your shopping list that day.

The Coupon You Must Clip From The Paper This Weekend

The coupon you must clip from the paper this weekend is the $1/1 bestlife buttery spread product. You can use it this week at Food Lion. 15 oz tubs of bestlife buttery spread are on sale 5/$5. This makes them $1 each. This buttery spread is healthier than regular butter and my family has been eating it for months and can't taste the difference. The date on those I bought this week was nov. 2011 so you can stock up and have plenty of time to use it before it goes bad. At Food Lion there is no limit on how many identical coupons you can use per transaction. Don't forget if they're out of it, get a raincheck.

Food Lion Literally Paid Me .70 For 5 Tubs of Butter And 2 1lb. Boxes of Sphagetti

I got so excited Tues. night when looking at the Food Lion ad I saw where Bestlife Buttery spread 15 oz tubs were going to be on sale 5/$5. I had taken advantage of this sale last time and scored lots of free butter with my coupons. So since then I made sure I clipped all the coupons I saw for it. Wed. I went to Food Lion and bought 5 tubs of BestLife Buttery Spread at 5/$5 and had 5 $1/1 coupons which made them all free. I also had 2 $1/1 coupons for ronzoni pasta. Ronzoni sphagetti 1lb. boxes are on sale for Buy 1 Get 1 Free. Regualr retail was $1.19, At Food Lion you are allowed to use 2 coupons on BOGO sales. I used 2 coupons. I ended up paying no tax on the entire order. I can't believe the cashier handed me .70 back. She is one of the lead cashers so it's not like she didn't know what she was doing. The manager who knows me personally and is a great guy was standing in line behind me. He was shocked that I got 5 tubs of butter and two boxes of pasta totally free. He said he was actually impressed. Bummer was she didn't give me my receipt and it was pouring down rain so I didn't go back in to get it. So I don't know exactly how much I saved but I'm guessing at least $10. Don't forget you don't have to buy 5 even though the sale says 5/$5. You can buy 1 for $1.
