HT Spent $3.18 Saved $19.59

I was so happy to see an e-vic from the Friday e-mail that I could take advantage of. The past few weeks HT hasn't had anything that I could use. I went yesterday and grabbed the Kellogg's cereal promotion where you bought 4 and got $1 off each box. In cases like this I always first look to see which cereals are already on sale and then look for coupons for these. The Value Size Rasin Bran was on sale 2/$4.15. The Kellogg's Crunchy Nut were also on sale for $2.50 each. I got two boxes of each and the register took off $4 for the promotion. I had an $1/2 coupon for the Rasin Bran and (2) .70/1 coupons for the Crunchy Nut. I also picked up 3 boxes of the Green Giant frozen veggies that were also on my e-vic for .97 each. I had a .60/3 coupon for these. After coupons doubling and all discounts I walked away paying only $3.18 for everything and saving $19.59.

Spent .06 Saved $14

This is totally worth sharing even though it was a few weeks ago. Some of the kellogg's cereal was on e-vic where you got so much off each box. I got 2 boxes of apple jacks and 2 boxes of frosted flakes. I had 4 .50/1 coupons that doubled and both of the cereals were on sale buy 1 get 1 free. Before coupons after the e-vic 2 boxes would have cost me $1.65. After e-vic and coupons 4 boxes of cereal cost me a whole .02!!! I was beyond thrilled. With .04 tax added on I paid .06 for all 4 and saved $14. Can't beat 4 boxes of cereal for .06!!

CVS Paid $4.14 Saved $36.43

I went to CVS yesterday loaded with coupons hoping to get the $10/$50 from the coupon machine like I had read some of you had gotten. Well I didn't get it so I made the best of it. I was wanting to spend the least out of pocket as possible.

I purchased

2 Pantene shampoo
2 Pantene hair sprays
1 tresseme shampoo
1 tresseme conditioner
1 tresseme hairspray
1 cvs shampoo

I had 2 bogo coupons on the pantene. The hairspray was on clearance for $2.99 but the coupon took off the max. value which covered both the shampoo and hairspray. I had a tresseme coupon that came out 9/30 if you bought a shampoo and conditioner you got styling product free. Tresseme is on sale 2/$7 I also had a $2/2 tresseme coupon for the coupon machine. The manuf took of $6 for the hairspray when it was only $3.50 so after all my coupons I only paid $2.50 for it and this is the kind my dad uses so it will be used and that's a good price for it. I had a $3 off cvs haircare print out at the red coupon machine and the cvs shampoo was $2.99 making it free as well.Tax is what got me here though. The whole transaction the hairspray is the only thing I paid for alnd all the rest was tax. I spent $4.14 in all but saved $36.43.

Been MIA But Not From Saving

While I've been mia from the blog for the past few weeks I've not been missing out on saving money. Last week Harris Teeter had Breyer's ice cream buy 2 get 3 free. Everyone in my family has birthdays within 5 weeks of one another so this was a great time for me to stock up on icecream.  Yes, I even had coupons. I had 2 coupons for .75/1 breyer's product. Keep in mind the coupons doubled. I also had a raincheck from a few weeks ago when the Palermo's pizza's were on e-vic for $2.47. I had 2 $1 coupons for these. So I went ahead and grabbed them too. For 5 cartons of breyer's and 2 palermo's thin crust supreme pizzas I pad $11.02 and saved $23.67.

HT Super Doubles Spent $1.98 Saved $43.07

Just got back from Harris Teeter and my best trip yet this week. I ended up in the negative's which was no real suprise to me. I thought it might happen but then when I saw everything that my store was out of I wasn't so sure. I was prepared and knew what I was going to grab if I ended up there. I know the point of getting out of the negative's is to make your bill higher but yes I even had coupons for the stuff I got to get me out of the negative's.

I checked my zvr coupons this morning and there were some new awesome ones to load. P&G had lots of good ones especially paired with the manuf coupons.

I got:

1 pack of keebler cinnamon roll cookies $1.99 used .70/1 coupon that doubled
1 4 pack of ocean spray crangrape juice BOGO used $2 coupon that doubled
2 febreeze air effect spray $1.97 on e-vic used 2 $1 coupons and $1 e coupon
2 3packs of ivory soap $1.75 each these are what I grabbed when I needed out of negative. I had 2  .75 catalina coupons for these that didn't double
1 febreeze car air freshner sale $2.99 $1 e coupon and $1 manuf coupon that doubled
2 hormel compleats $1.97 each used 2 $1 coupons that doubled
1 crest prohealth whitening toothpaste sale $2.99 used $1 coupon that doubled and .50 e coupon
1 gillette plus razor sale $5.99 used $3 manuf coupon and $3 e coupon
1 nestle oatmeal rasin cookie dough $2.19 .55 e coupon and .75 coupon that doubled
1 neutrogena bar soap $2.55 used $2 neutrogena face coupon that doubled.

Very happy with this trip. If only they had everything in stock it would have been even better.

Spent .81 Saved $12

I wanted to stock up on the stayfree pads when they were on sale a while back at Harris Teeter for $2 but they were out so I got a raincheck for 6. Most of my coupons expired the 31 so I knew I needed to hurry and use them. Last Sun. I went and got 6 packs for $2 a pack with my raincheck and used 6 $2 stayfree coupons and got them all for free paying on .81 tax. Really I saved more than $12 because they are normally more than $2 each. I love it when I don't have to worry about finding a coupon or deal when we need something because I'm already stocked up on that item.

Trip #2 Harris Teeter Super Doubles

Trip 2 to HT wasn't nearly as good but this trip I got more things we actually needed that were a good price. Not free but a good deal. I spent $7.28 and saved $28.18 this trip.

I bought:

1 pack of Gerber Yogurt melts
1 pouch of Gerber Organic 2nd foods
3 boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios
1 box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch
3 jars of Welch's Grape Jelly
1 pack of Wet Ones wipes
1 gallon of HT Reduced Fat Milk

The e-vic specials that were sent to my e-mail this weekend were really great. The milk was on e-vic for $2.47 and the cereal was $1.97 each and I had coupons for each box making them on $2.28 for all 4 boxes. I also had a .50 zvr for the cinnamon toast crunch. The jelly was buy 1 get 1 free and I had .35/1 coupons I used on each jar.

Spent .65 Saved $45.07

Here's my first Super Doubles post from last Wed. at Harris Teeter. I did really awesome on this trip. Originally I ended up with a negative $1.38 subtotal so I went and grabbed a cake mix that was on sale for $1.99. After that my subtotal for everything purchased was only .5 .65 after tax. I had zvr coupons loaded to my card which gave me quite a bit of overage that came off my total bill since the zvr coupons were for items that I was already getting for free thanks to manuf. coupons. so therefore the zvr coupons came off the rest of my bill. HT does not give overage on paper coupons but does on zvr coupons. I love this about HT. So now on to what I bought.

1 bottle of Hungry Jack Lite Syrup
1 box of Hungry Jack Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancake Mix
1 Duncan Hines cake mix
1 Eat, Think, Smile Bar
1 box of Tampax Compak
1 pack of Stayfree Maxi pads
1Mam Pacifier clip holder
1 Eggo Homestyle Waffles
1 Eggo Strawberry Struddles
2 Vanilla Silk Soymilk cartons
4 Met Rx bars

All of this for .5 plus tax. Can't beat that with a stick :)))

Spent $9.21 Saved $106.98 @ CVS

Mon. night I went to CVS to see what kind of deals I could get with the olay promotion and rebate. I spent way more out of pocket then I normally would ever spend and I had some extra care bucks to use. Unfortunately I can't list all the specific extra care bucks I used because I don't know how many I had.

I bought

4 boxes of the olay 2in1 cloths 33ct
3 boxes of the olay cloths 30ct
6 bottles of head & shoulders shampoo
4 bottles of olay body wash
1 cvs body wash

I used a $3/$15 olay coupon from the coupon center
$2 cvs body wash coupon from the coupon center
3 BOGO head & shoulders coupons ex. 7/31
3 $3/2 olay cleansing cloths
4 Get olay body wash free when you buy cleansing cloths
$4 (possibly more in ECB's

Pretax total was $4.02, after tax it was $9.21

I got $10 ecb's back from head & shoulders and olay
Got $5 ECB's from beauty club
and will get $10 back from olay rebate

Now for my question for those of you who have done the olay rebate. Is this rebate really $30 before coupons? I've heard conflicting rumors so please comment below and let me know because I really want the rebate but don't want to mess with it if I won't be able to get it. Please leave feedback. Thanks

Needless to say I was beyond thrilled when I saw the $2 stayfree coupons were coming out last sunday just in time for some free pads with the current sales. This was my last week to purchase stuff  for my church's mission team to take to Kenya. I purchased 13 packs of stayfree at Harris Teeter and spent $1.76 tax for them all and saved $49.27. I also got an additional pack at CVS too. It's such an awesome feeling to be able to give to those accross the world in need.

Spent $5.82 @ Harris Teeter Saved $20.30

Fri. mornings I always look forward to getting my weekly e-vic e-mails. Lately it seems they haven't been anything I could use but today broke that trend. I found several good deals on things we could use in my e-vic mail this morning. On the way home from work I stopped by HT and picked up some things. The Betty Crocker Brownie mix was on sale for .97. The Silk Fruit & Protein drink was on sale for $1.27. Those were the only deals that I got that were on my e-vic. I also purchased a 3 lb bag of meow mix catfood as well as 3 loaves of Nature's Own 100% Whole Wheat Bread on sale for $1.99 each. The cat food was on sale for $4.99 and I have a coupon for .75 making it $3.49. This is a little more than I normally like to pay for catfood, but when the cat needs food, he needs food :) I had 3 .75 coupons for the bread making them only .49 a loaf which you can't beat!! The Silk drink I had 2 .75 coupons making them free, and 1 .75/2 coupon for the brownies making them .44/2. So I'm really pleased with this trip. Spent $5.82  and saved $20.30.

Spent .35 Tax Saved $38.47 @ CVS

At the beginning of the week I went to CVS to take advantage of the awesome Head & Shoulder's deal. It wasn't all that great without coupons, lol. Head & Shoulder's shampoo and conditioners were on sale buy 1 get 1 50% off. At my store they are regularly $5.99. I had 3 of the buy 1 get 1 free coupons from the recent P&G insert. I bought 6 of the shampoo's some were the 2 in 1 and some were even the kind of scaly heads. The coupons took off $9.49 each. I got a $1 coupon from the coupon center for $1 nivea creams or moisturizer. This coupon worked on the small tin of nivea cream. There was only 1 left in my store so I got it for free as well. Actually my subtotal was in the negative but my tax ate up the negative part and I only ended up paying .35 for $38.47 worth of merchandise. Yes, I have to admit I will be making one last trip tomorrow night to use the last of my head & shoulder's coupons :)

Spent .76 Tax Saved $13.94

I got several of the $2 off any shampoo or styling product coupons from the coupon center last week. I just couldn't hardly stand to see these high value coupons go to waste when I could donate the shampoo to my local food pantry. First stop yesterday I went to CVS and had one of the $2 coupons from the coupon center from last week as well as a Free Cortaid coupon that printed earlier this week from the coupon center. Actually my store has the Cortaid price a little higher than the max value of the coupon but I had a $1 manuf. coupon that I used to cover the difference that the free coupon didn't cover. I bought 2 of the VO5 shampoos that were .99 each and the Cortaid at my store is regularly $6.29. I used the $2 of shampoo coupon to cover both of the shampoos and the free coupon for the cream which took off $5.99 as well as a $1 coupon for the Cortaid from a recent coupon insert. All of this was free and I only had to pay .56 tax.

Later in the day I went to Walgreens where I normally hate to shop. Couponing deals never seem to work for me there. They have the 3pack ivory bar soap on sale this week for .99. There were $1 coupons in this past Sunday's P&G for $1 ivory cleansing item. So for once the cashier knew how to adjust the coupons down and didn't question anything! I got 3 3bar packs for .20 tax. I'm donating these to my church's mission team heading to Kenya.

So all together yesterday I sent .76 tax and saved $13.94. I love me some freebies!!

CVS Spent $10.07 Saved $59.73

Last fri. night I went to CVS. I had a $4/20 coupon loaded to my card as well as a $5/15 coupon. I love a good challenge when it comes to figuring out how to use these coupons and pay the least out of pocket. I didn't know if I could use both of these coupons together but the cashier said she could try. They ended up overriding it because it didn't want to take the 2nd but my total was still over $15 and the coupon was off a $15 purchase.

I've been enjoying the cvs diapers on clearance. I've been stocking up for a good friend. I also got two packs of the huggies little mover blue jean diapers that were on clearance for baby gifts.

My total transaction:

1 30oz bag of pretzel m&m's- $3.37 on clearance reg. $13.49
2 packs huggies little mover jean diapers- $5.99 on clearance reg. $11.99
1 caldesene powder 5oz- clearance for $1.62 reg. approx $6.50
2 packs of cvs supreme diapers 46ct $3.12 each reg. $12.49 each

I used:
$4/20 coupon
$5/15 coupon
2 $2 coupons huggies little movers
$1/1 caldesene product

Including tax I paid $10.07 and saved $59.73. 4 packs of diapers alone is worth that!!

Spent $12.01 Saved $86.57 @ HT Super Doubles

I went to Harris Teeter this morning for day 1 of Super Doubles. I was very suprised at how much I saved. I don't think I've ever saved this much in 1 transaction before. This is a breakdown of what I got.

2 boxes of 20oz Rasin Bran on sale Buy 1 Get 1 Free= $4.25/2 before coupons
used $1/2 coupon which doubled

6 bottles of KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce on sale $1 each= had 3 $1/2 coupons which made all 6 free

4 6pack of deer park water .5 liters on sale for $1 each= had 2 cooupons for $1/2 made all 4 free after doubling

1 3lb. bag of meow mix tender Centers cat food on sale for $4.99= $2 coupon doubled made cat food .99 for bag

1 munchkin  mighty grip sippy cup on sale for $2.39= $1/1 coupon made cup .39 after doubling

2 nature's own whole wheat bread= $3.98 on sale after 2  .75 coupons doubled bread was .98/2 loaves

4 bags of simply potatoes= $5.50/4 bags+ after 2 $1 coupons doubling they were $1.50 for 4 bags

1 container of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter=on sale for $2.15 after $1.10 coupon doubled it was free

1 half gallon of silk vanilla soymilk= on sale for $3 used $1 coupon after doubling made it $1

1 box of advil gel caplets 50ct= sale for $4.49 after $2 coupon doubled I paid .49

6 Met Rex bars= $2.29 each, I had 3 $2/2 coupons that doubled making them$1.74/6

No, I did not clear shelves. I had another wateer coupon but that would have only left 3 cases for someone else. So I only got 4. There was also plenty of BBQ sauce too. Most of these I'm going to donate to my local food pantry.

Out of the $12.01 I paid $1.69 of that was tax. All of the items I bought weren't signed with the sale price, maybe it was just because it was first thing and they were still putting up signs.

Leave us a comment and let us know how you did couponing this week

CVS Clearance Spent $1.06 Saved $14.47

My week's already getting off to a good start as far as couponing goes! I read online where CVS has several brands of feminine pads on clearance. One of the brands was Stayfree and that's my brand! I was hoping there were some left at my store and there was just enough for me to use the 3 coupons I had. I  got 2 16ct. packs of the long with wings for .4 each after my $1 coupons. I got a pack of the ultra 18 ct. for .72 after another $1 coupon. So including tax I got all 3 packs for $1.06!! I have a whole stockpile of pads but this is the price I like to pay to stock up on them. It's not like they won't sae and they'll go bad on me lol.

Spent .10 Saved $10.xx

This week I've really picked up my couponing again. I saw on my new Harris Teeter zvr coupons yesterday where the kix and trix cereals both had coupons. Both of these cereals are on sale this week for Buy 1 Get 1 Free. There are also .60/1 trix printable coupons as well as .75/1 kix printable coupons. I bought 2 boxes of kix and 1 box of trix. Including tax I only paid .10 for all 3 boxes. My family doesn't eat these sugary cereals but I'm donating them to my local food pantry. Tomorrow is the collection day at my church and I've gotten quite a bit of stuff from using my coupons I'm going to donate.

I've also made several trips to CVS this week. I loved the $1 any toothbrush coupons that have been spitting out from the coupon machine. I have been using them to get the 5ct. toothbrushes with canister set that are only $1. Yesterday I bought 1 and used the coupon and got my dad a milky way bar which is on sale this week for .75 with a .75 extra care buck. I only paid .80 for the candy and the toothbrushes and got $1.75 in Extra Care Buks. .75 was for the candy and the $1 was for my Green Bag tag.

I stopped back in this morning and got 2 more coupons for the $1 toothbrush. I still had one left from yesterday. I was able to get 3 today for completely free! Not even paying any tax :) :) Don't ask me how this happened, I was prepared to pay it but didn't have too! Don't worry I never at any point cleared the shelves on the toothbrush/holder display. My store was fully stocked. I don't think alot of people realized you could use the coupon on the canister sets too. I'm also donating these toothbrush canisters to my local food pantry (they also accept toiletries).

Don't forget when you shop at CVS to scan your card at the red coupon machine first thing. Scan it twice, alot of times it will print more coupons the 2nd time. When it's printed all for that day it will say " no more coupons available today, check back tomorrow." Also walk the store when you have time and look for clearance tags. You can use coupons on clearance, this is another way to score free stuff. I also look for the sign that say get it while  it last, clearance. This means it will be going to clearance soon.

CVS Spent $1.14 Saved $10.92

Yes, I know I've been horrible on blogging but working two jobs doesn't leave a whole lot of time. I didn't do this CVS trip this week but still am proud of it and thought it was worth sharing.

I bought:

1 box of CVS allergy medicine for $5.99
1 pack of reward stickers on clearance for .56
1 travel size colgate max toothpaste for .99
1 milky way bar for .75 on sale
1 can of  campbell's tomato soup for .69

I used:

1 $5 Extra Care Buck
1 CVS coupon $1 off any toothpaste from the red coupon printer
1 30% off CVS coupon which took off $2.27

I only paid $1.14 for everything. .43 of that was tax. I grabbed the soup because I was under $5 and I wanted to use my ECB and not waste it. I got the toothpaste and the stickers for the stuff I'm collecting for Kenya.

Harris Teeter Triples. Spent .42 Saved $6.17

This wasn't my only Triples trip but I'm obviously way behind blogging.

I bought:

3 Milky Way candybars
1 Comet Cleaner
1 Heluva Good Dip

used: 1 .75/2 milky way coupon
          1 75/1 comet coupon
          1  .55/1 heluva coupon
           1 .75/1 heluva zvr coupon

The zvr coupon put me into the negative so that's when I grabbed the 3rd candy bar. I only paid .42 including tax for everything and saved $6.17.

Spent .55 Saved $20.55 @ CVS

Got some pretty sweet deals at CVS this week.I bougt one of the big cans of the CVS sunscreen that sprays on, and you don't even have to rub it. This sound like my kind of sunscreen! It will come in handy when I go to the beach with the girls next month. I also bought 2 of the lady speed stick deodorants. Luckily I walked the stores and scouted out the clearance bargins so when I got to the register I needed some more cheap items to use my ECB I knew what to grab. I bought 1 100 sheet notetablet for .66 as well as a pack of red pens for .59. Unfortunately this was the last pack of pins or I would have grabbed another pack instead of the pad.

I used:
1 BOGO speed stick manuf coupon
2 cvs $1/1 any deodorant coupon
1 $5 Extra Care Buck

The deodorant coupon scanned for the max. price of $3.99. It even didn't ask cashier to enter price. I didn't know if both of my cvs coupons would work with the buy 1 get 1 coupon but it did.  All together I spent .55 including tax!! I saved $20.55

Spent $5.65 Saved $24.52 @ HT Super Doubles

I just got back from my first trip to Harris Teeter for this week's super doubles. Finally the one time that they didn't have the smart balance milk on sale I still wasn't able to get any with my rainchecks. Someone right in front of me wiped out the reduced fat. I wasn't sure if both of my rainchecks were written for reduced fat or not. 5 min. later when I realized one raincheck didn't specify all the smart balance milk was wiped out. They weren't fully stocked to begin with. I can only hope I can get some tomorrow after the truck comes in before they sale out again. Maybe everyone doesn't have rainchecks making them free!!

1 bought:

2 3 packs of Ivory soap= $1.55 each, had $1/2 coupon that doubled and a .35 zvr making them .75/2

2 smucker's jelly= $2.95 each, had 2 .75 coupons that doubled making them .70 each

1 box of south beach diet bars= $3.29 used $1 coupon making them $1.29 after coupon

1 box of always infinity pads= $3.99 on sale, used 1 $1 coupon that doubled. I thought I had loaded a zvr for these but hadn't so I'm going to take these back.

1 50ct box of always pantiliners= $2.99 on sale had $1 coupon that doubled and $1 zvr making these free!

1 box of country crock butter=$1.95 $1 coupon doubled making it free

2 bonus size tubs of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter= $2.35 on sale got both for free using 2 $1.25 coupons that doubled.

I paid only $5 before tax for all this stuff. Love getting lots of good deals when the ad even isn't all that impressive this week.

Spent $1.52 Saved $11.xx

Last week I went to CVS and saw the Garnier Fructis Dandruff shampoo was on clearance for $2.89. I had a $1 manuf coupon plus a .75 coupon that came from the cvs site. Well of course I couldn't use both because the coupon which I thought was a store coupon really wasn't. I had orginally gotten two because I had 2 of each coupon. When I found out only 1 coupon would work I told the manager to just give me one shampoo. He voided off 1 but forgot to void the manuf coupon for the 2nd one. So I ended up getting the 1 bottle of dandruff shampoo for .89 plus tax. I also in the same transaction got the 5ct. allegra and used the $7 manuf coupon. So for both these items I spent $1.52 including tax and saved $11.xx.

The free allegra has been a welcome sight around my house. The manuf has quit making all the prescription sinus medicine my whole family has taken for years. As I'm sure many of you are learning this year the over the counter allergy meds are outrageous in price.

Spent $1.70 @ Harris Teeter Saved $9.53

I had 2 .75 coupons that doubled. I only paid for the veggies, and got both bags for $1.55 before tax.

I did forget my free 2liter pepsi that I had the e-vic for. Oh well, there will always be a next time.

Paid $1.61 Saved $8.55

I went to Harris Teeter again yesterday. Alot of the "freebies" I wanted were still out of stock. I did buy 2 starkist tuna sandwich ready pouches and 1 carton of Blue Bunny icecream. The icecream was on sale for buy 1 get 1 free. Reg. price would have been $6.59. I used the .75/1 blue bunny novelty coupon from the April All You magazine and I had 2 .50/1 printable coupons for the tuna. I only paid .25 each for the tuna and $1.04 for the carton of icecream. You can't beat that. My total bill came to $1.61 including tax and a savings of $8.55.

Spent $11.55 Saved $53.94 Triples Day 1

I was there when they opened the doors wed. morning for triples at my local Harris Teeter. I was dreading the crowd but suprisingly it wasn't crowded at all. Below, I didn't list every coupon I used and the after coupon price. I couldn't remember all of them exactly but I did use coupons on everything I bought.

I bought :

2 boxes of fiber 1 honey clusters cereal $3 on sale
I had (2) .75 coupons that tripled plus 2 zvr coupons
making both free

3 3packs of dial basic soap
used 3 .35/1 coupons that tripled

1 tub of pampers wipes

1 120ct. refill bag of pampers wipes

What To Buy @ Triples

I'm ashamed it's been two weeks since I posted. There's been plenty of days when I wanted to blog but didn't really have any deals to post. Since this blog isn't totally about couponing deals I'll try to change that.

Today is ithe big day before... triples begin tomorrow morning bright and early at Harris Teeter. I'm looking forward to going but not so much to the crowd I'm going to have to fight. Last time they did triples in our town that only has 1 Harris Teeter in the county it looked like Black Friday.

The ad is already up on southernsavers.com if you want to check it out before the ad comes out tonight. Once you're at southernsavers site just click on the Harris Teeter tab. Personally the ad didn't look all that great. Beware some of the coupons she list on southernsavers as matchups can't be tripled because they say do not double or triple on them. It's aggrivating to me that they're even listed because after I spend 10 min. searching for a coupon for something I believe will cost only cents I realize that it won't work. They will scan but you'll only get face value off.

Some of the good deals I'm getting tomorrow all under $2, most under $1...

Yoplait light yogurt with granola 4pack
.75 coupon in 2/5 general mills insert

yoplait yocrunch yogurt 4pack
.75 coupon in 2/5 smart source

pampers wipes
.75/1 coupon on coupons.com
this will make the 72 ct under$1 or the larger ct. a little over $1
some are on clearance at my store

Lysold toilet bowl clearner Buy 1 Get 1 Free
.50/1 coupon on lysol website
will make 2 approx. 69 each

starkist sandwich ready tuna pouch
.50/1 printable coupon from starkist
will make each under $1

This isn't everything I'm getting just a few of the things.

4 Jars of Pasta Sauce for .96

Yesterday after I got the coupons from the paper I was looking up prices on Express Lane for Harris Teeter trying to plan ahead for triple coupons that I hear is coming later this month.

I had a .60/1 bertolli pasta sauce coupon that was in the Smart Source yesterday. It's on sale this week at Harris Teeter buy 1 get 1 free. Keep in mind at HT you can now use 2 coupons on buy 1 get 1 free items.

I bought 4 in 2 transactions and paid .96 for all 4 including tax saving $10.50. These jars are the 24 oz size.

If your store is out don't forget to get a raincheck. These coupons would work nice with a raincheck during triple coupons.

Saved $9.83 and Spent Only .10 Tax

I went to Harris Teeter yesterday after celebrating the big 1st birthday with Jenn and the kids, since I'm going to miss the party :((

I wanted to take advantage of the sales that were going off yesterday. Fri. in my e-vic e-mail one of my offers was a bag of 60ct. De Waflebakkers Mini Pancakes completely free!! As you know I love free stuff and pancakes is not something you see free all that often.

I also got 2 of the colgate toothpaste that were on sale for 2/$3. I had 2 .75 coupons which doubled making the toothpaste also free.

So in the end I got everything for free and only paid .10 tax and saved $9.83

Someone's Turning 1!!

Today is a very special day for us here at JJ Frugal Friends. Jennifer's "little princess" is turning 1 today!! Wow, so hard to believe it's been a year. Kids grow up so quickly. I remember the day well.. The baby shower took place just in time. No one knew the day after the shower she would make her grand appearance around 10 days early.

Jennifer and I had put away the shower gifts and had admired how cute all the little girl stuff was. No contractions, not even any kicks from the little miss. A quite day. 5 hours later she was having a baby.

Happy Birthday #1 to our "little princess", she brightens up our world in a big way here at JJ Frugal Friends.

Spent .20 Tax and Saved $4.71

I went to CVS sat. night to grab some of the Mentos UP2U gum that is on sale this week for .99. Of course I couldn't find but 3 out of my 4 coupons but thankfully I found my other one this morning.

I bought 3 packs for .99 each and used 3 $1 coupons which they adjusted the last one down to .97. I got all 3 for free paying only .20 tax. I saved $4.71. It's hard to believe gum is $1.50 a pack.

What You Can Get For Free Starting This Sun. Feb. 26th

I've been wanting to blog for the past two days and hadn't been able to come up with anything. I just went on www.southernsavers.com and looked at the drugstore ad previews next week and found a few freebies I wanted to let you know about. Also Harris Teeter has at least 1 freebie this week too. There may be other freebies after reward bucks etc. at the drugstores but this is what jumped out at me as being completely free upfront.

In the coupon insert this sunday there will be a .75/1 any colgate toothpaste coupon. 6oz colgate is on sale this week at Harris Teeter for $1.50. So after the coupon doubles it will make it free. I'm all about free toothpaste deals :))

The next deal is for the UP2U single pack gum. The $1 coupon was in the Feb. 5 SS. It's on sale at both CVS and Rite Aid next week. Check with your CVS store our local store here starts honoring next week's ad at 4pm on sat. so you can get this week's and next week's deals at the same time.

At CVS it's .99 My store is really good about adjusting down coupons. If your store isn't, you might want to do the deal at Rite Aid. They're on sale there for $1. You will only have to pay tax.

Giveaway Winner

The Valentine's Giveaway winner was chosen on fri. as promised, the winner and photographer have both been notified. I just realized this morning while the winner was announced on our facebook page that it was never announced on the blog.

You may have noticed I said "winner" singular. We only had 1 person enter our giveaway. Congrats to Jodi Hathcock who won the photo prize of her choice. She chose the free mini session with Summer Herlocker.

Way to go Jodi! Jodi has been a faithful follower of our blog from day 1. She's stuck with us through the thick and thin of our blogging.

Colgate-Palmolive Rebate Info Spend $10 Before Coupons Get $5 Back

Colgate- Palmolive is having an awesome rebate going on right now for Black History month. If you buy $10 (before coupons) of palmolive, colgate, speed stick, lady's speed stick, irish spring etc. The $10 in items must all be purchased in 1 transaction. I bought $10 in the speed stick deodorant and got it all for $1.07 which was tax only. The rebate form was in the 1/29 Smart Source insert. The rebate ends in march and items have to be purchased by March 8th (maybe!??) If you are interested in doing this rebate I have extra forms I would be glad to share with anyone who needs them. Just leave a comment and let me know. Also if you need more info just ask.

Spent .65 Saved $16.45

Everything was suposed to be free but my coupons didn't scan that way. I was to fed up to argue about it. They had already made irritated me over the cheerios (see previous post) so I didn't argue over .50.

I bought 2 smart balance milk and 3 nivea lip gloss. I had 2 of the smart balance coupons $1.50/1 that doubled making them both free and 1 $3/2 nivea lip gloss coupon as well as $1/1 nivea lip gloss coupon from facebook that should doubled and made them all free. Well the facebook coupon didn't double and I'm pretty sure it should have. Over the last 2 days it seems like that items that cost less than what the coupon doubles too only come off at facevalue and have to be doubled manually. Not sure if this is really what's happening but it seems like it to me. Anyone else notice this??

I love the free milk and the long shelf dates make it even sweeter of a deal. The nivea is going to Kenya with my church's team.

I know you guys think this is awesome, all that for .65 but it should have only cost me the .15 tax. Oh well, I'm still happy with .65

Spent $3.62 For 4 Boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios

Harris Teeter not only has Super Doubles going on this week but also is running a General Mills Promotion. Among other items some of their cereal is on sale for $2.50 each if you buy 4 boxes you get $2 off instantly. I think the more you buy the more you get off. You can also use coupons on these.

I bought 4 boxes of the Honey Nut Cheerios reg. $4.15 each on sale for $2.50 each. I had a zvr e coupon for .50/1. I also had 2 $1/2 coupons that doubled. Then because I bought 4 it took off $2 instanly making me pay only $3.62 including tax for 4 boxes. Can't beat that for cereal.

My Harris Teeter is beginning to get on my nerves. I went in today and told the cashier who I knew I wanted to do 2 transaction a CS person overheard and said you weren't suposed to do but 1 transaction. Another CS came over and asked why I wanted 2 transactions I explained that 1 order was for an elderly family member and I wanted a separate receipt. They said they weren't suposed to allow it and asked how many times I had been in today. I told her this was my first time and she could clearly see that I didn't have over 20 items to be over the coupon limit. She had to take my card to the computer and scan it to look it up to make sure that I hadn't been in today. I don't have a problem obeying policy but when you do nothing wrong and still feel like you're always the problem causer it's not a good feeling.

Spent .18 Saved $7.11

Last night I went back to Harris Teeter because I was a few coupons away of my 20 a day limit. I bought 4 more packs of stride gum and 2 more pouches of whisker lickens cat treats.

I used 1 $1.50/2 whisker lickens coupon making the cat treats free and 2 $1/2 stride coupons. 3 packs of the gum were on clearance for .82 each and 1 was on sale at .99. In the end I got everything for free and only paid .18 tax for it all.

Spent $3.96 Saved $45.24 @ Harris Teeter Super Doubles

I just got back from my first trip to Harris Teeter this week for super doubles. I spent $3.96 (including tax) and saved $45.24. I didn't think the ad this week was good at all. Obviously many others felt the same way because there was hardly anyone in the store.

I bought:

6 pouches of Whisker Lickins cat treat= all free
reg. 2/$3 used 3 $1.50/2 coupons

3 bounce dryer bars= all free
reg. $5.99
had raincheck for $3.49
used 3 $1.50/1 coupons
and 1 $1.50 zvr coupon

4 packs of stride gum= all free
on clearance for .82 each
had 2 $1/2 coupons

6 pure protein bars= .50 each after all coupons
used 3 $1/2 coupons

1 eat. think.smile bar= free
used $1/1 coupon

1 colgate toothpaste 6oz= free
used $1/1 coupon

3 smart balance milk= all free
3 $1.50/1 coupons

Very happy with this trip, especially the fact I paid for nothing except the pure protein bars. Don't hesitate to get a raincheck if they're out of something. HT rainchecks never expire. Save the raincheck til the next super double and chances are there will be a good coupon to pair it with. I didn't even try to get the dryer bars but once when they were on sale. After I got the raincheck I decided I wasn't going to fight for them, I would get them when there was less demand and sure enough it was to my advantage to wait.

Be sure to watch your total and have a clue how much your bill will be. I knew how much mine should be and it came up to be about $3 more. The cashier was very nice and luckily there was no line so she went back through my coupons and my receipt with a "fine tooth comb" they realized 3 of my coupons for $1/1 bic product said not subject to doubling in fine print under the retailer info. I had them take these off because I didn't want them if my coupon wouldn't double. This is why it always pays to check your receipt and know how much you should be paying.

You Can Do Alot in 15 min.

Today I revisted a site I've went to many times before off and on. www.flylady.net She helps you get your house clean and organized in simple, manageable steps. She suggest setting a timer for 15 min. and working for 15 min at a time. It's really doable if you look at it that way.

She has different tips for each day.

Her tip for today is:

Just take 15 min. and go through the stacks of mail, papers, magazines etc. and trash or put them away where they belong. You will be suprised how much you can put away in a short time.

See that's not so hard.

Everything in all 3 trips was free except 1 hershey's bar after sales and coupons.

Tues. night I went to Harris Teeter and took one last advantage of last weeks sales. I spent $2.04 and saved $23.61. I also got a .75 coupon off my next shopping order.

A team from our church is going on a mission trip to Kenya in the summer and I'm collecting stuff for them to take. Ink pens, soap, chap stick, toothpaste, toothbrushes, are among the things I've already collected. So the stuff like that I've been buying (well, really getting for free!) is going to Kenya.

I bought:

2 softsoap hand soaps on e-vic for .99 each. I had 2 .40/1 coupons which doubled
1 starkist tuna pouch on sale for $1. I had a .50/1 coupon that doubled making it free
1 jar of wlfgang puck sphagetti sauce $2.99 $1 ZVR coupon + .75/1 coupon which doubled making it .49. Also got a .75 catalina off my next order

Spent $1.12 Saved $52.49 @Harris Teeter

I did really well at Super Doubles at Harris Teeter last week. My first trip wasn't that big but was good. In the beginning I didn't think it was that great with the sales but after reading alot of other blogger's post about how they did I realized there were alot better sales then I thought with coupons I had.

I bought:

3 big packs of solo plates
2 V8 Fusion Smoothies
3 Starkist tuna poches
2 boxes of Honey Bunches of Oats
1 Glide floss
2 Aquafresh tartar control toothpaste
1 regular Aquafresh
3 bayer asprin

I only paid $1.12 for all this and saved $52.49.
The only thing I paid for were the solo plates but I only paid .15 for them.

Spent $13.76 Saved $55.08 @ CVS, Rite Aid, Harris Teeter

I started my savings of 2012 out with a bang. I went to Rite Aid, Harris Teeter, and CVS this week and between all 3 stores I spent $13.76 and saved $55.08.

Rite Aid:

1 Colgate Whitening Toothbrush regularly $4.99 sale price $3.49. I had a $3 video values coupon and a .75 manuf coupon. I got the toothbrush for free plus overage.

1 Nature Made Fish Oil on sale buy 1 get 1 free. They only had 1 on the shelf so they gave it to me at half price. I also had a $3 video values coupon for the vitamins. I also had a manuf. coupon but couldn't use it because the coupon was for more than the total left. I ended up paying $1.50 including tax for the vitamins which is still a great deal.

CVS

I had a $5/$25 coupon that expired the 3rd and I was determined to find the best way to use the coupon. Everything I bought accept the cereal I'm donating to my church's team going to Kenya.

8 Nivea lip gloss
1 box of fiber one cereal
5 3 packs of ivory soap

I only had to buy 4 nivea to qualify me for the $5 in extra care bucks. I also got $1 back from my green bag tag. My total including tax was $4.32 and $42.36
