Last week I went to CVS and saw the Garnier Fructis Dandruff shampoo was on clearance for $2.89. I had a $1 manuf coupon plus a .75 coupon that came from the cvs site. Well of course I couldn't use both because the coupon which I thought was a store coupon really wasn't. I had orginally gotten two because I had 2 of each coupon. When I found out only 1 coupon would work I told the manager to just give me one shampoo. He voided off 1 but forgot to void the manuf coupon for the 2nd one. So I ended up getting the 1 bottle of dandruff shampoo for .89 plus tax. I also in the same transaction got the 5ct. allegra and used the $7 manuf coupon. So for both these items I spent $1.52 including tax and saved $11.xx.
The free allegra has been a welcome sight around my house. The manuf has quit making all the prescription sinus medicine my whole family has taken for years. As I'm sure many of you are learning this year the over the counter allergy meds are outrageous in price.

Spent .20 Tax and Saved $4.71
I went to CVS sat. night to grab some of the Mentos UP2U gum that is on sale this week for .99. Of course I couldn't find but 3 out of my 4 coupons but thankfully I found my other one this morning.
I bought 3 packs for .99 each and used 3 $1 coupons which they adjusted the last one down to .97. I got all 3 for free paying only .20 tax. I saved $4.71. It's hard to believe gum is $1.50 a pack.

What You Can Get For Free Starting This Sun. Feb. 26th
I've been wanting to blog for the past two days and hadn't been able to come up with anything. I just went on www.southernsavers.com and looked at the drugstore ad previews next week and found a few freebies I wanted to let you know about. Also Harris Teeter has at least 1 freebie this week too. There may be other freebies after reward bucks etc. at the drugstores but this is what jumped out at me as being completely free upfront.
In the coupon insert this sunday there will be a .75/1 any colgate toothpaste coupon. 6oz colgate is on sale this week at Harris Teeter for $1.50. So after the coupon doubles it will make it free. I'm all about free toothpaste deals :))
The next deal is for the UP2U single pack gum. The $1 coupon was in the Feb. 5 SS. It's on sale at both CVS and Rite Aid next week. Check with your CVS store our local store here starts honoring next week's ad at 4pm on sat. so you can get this week's and next week's deals at the same time.
At CVS it's .99 My store is really good about adjusting down coupons. If your store isn't, you might want to do the deal at Rite Aid. They're on sale there for $1. You will only have to pay tax.

2 Packs of Huggies Diapers and More For $2
I got an awesome deal at CVS this week. Unfortunately my receipt has found the trashcan so this is from memory.
I bought:
1 jumbo pack of Huggies Jumbo pack of Blue Jean Litte Movers $8.99 (had raincehck for $8.99 used on both packs)
1 jumbo Huggies Little Snugglers $8.99
1 CVS travel wipes .99
2 Theraflu travel .99 each
I also had a $4/$20 coupon
a $2 CVS coupon for Little Snugglers
2 $2 Huggies manuf coupons
a $4/2 any Theraflu items
1 $4 off any diapers AND wipes.
After all the coupons were applied I only paid $2 plus tax for everything. Actually it was a little under $2 before tax. I did have overage from the theraflu that was applied to the rest of my order. I love the fact that my CVS gives overage!!

Freebies!! Spent .33 tax Saved $9.95
A few weeks ago when the Dawn dish liquid was on sale at CVS for .99. I had gotten a raincheck because my small town store quickly sold out. I trade coupons online with couponers across the country which helps that different areas get different coupons. My area only got the .75 dawn plus coupon. I found someone who sent me $1 dawn plus coupons. The most I could get on 1 raincheck was 5 so I took my 5 $1 coupons today with my raincheck and got 5 of the 9oz dish liquids. I got 5 of the dawn plus hand renewal and got 2 regular dawn all for free!! I only had to pay .33 tax for them all. I saved $9.95. It's hard to believe that a 9oz dish liquid would normally cost $1.99!!
My coupons expired today so I was really thankful they had enough in stock. The dawn dish liquid go back on sale this coming week so I knew my store would be wiped out again quickly.

Spent $2.22 Including Tax At CVS Saved $64.19
I came home from this shopping trip and I was on such a couponing high it even wasn't funny!! I hadn't been sure that my trip would go as I wanted but it did! I did the air wick deal where you buy $20 and get $10 extra care bucks back. I had downloaded the $5/25 coupon to my card. I love the way you can now download the cvs printable coupons straight to your card so you don't have to print them. I bought 5 of the airwick i motion kits, 1 tube of bengay, and got the newton blueberry cookies that were free with my coupon from the coupon center. I had 5 of the $4/1 air wick coupons from previous inserts and the $5 bengay coupon from yesterday's insert. The $5/$25 coupon also came off. So after all these coupons I got everything for .44 plus tax which made it $2.22. I got the $10 extra care buck's back and $1 extra care buck back from my bag tag.

Spent $1.88 at CVS for 2 14oz bags of Skittles
We had a coupon print out of the red coupon machine for Buy 1 get 1 free 14 oz bag of skittles, lifesavers, or starburst. I had recently printed a coupon online for $1/1 bag of skittles. I used the buy 1 get 1 free store coupon, the $1/1 printable coupon, and a $1 extra care buck and scored 2 bags of skittles for $1.88. I saved $5.88 in this trip. My dad had been wanting some skittles so this deal made him real happy :)

Spent .8 Tax Saved $9.76 @ CVS
Sun. morning I heard that the big red coupon machine was printing out multiple free coupons!! I decided I better run to my local store and get my free stuff before they all got gone. I got 2 free caramello candy bars and 2 boxes of cvs fabric bandaids 20ct. for free! I had 2 cards to get 2 of each. I had my card and my parents. I also got my bag tag scan so I'm one more scan closer to the $1 ecb for that. My family actually prefers the fabric bandaids and you can never go wrong with chocolate.

2 packs of Huggies for $3.13 including tax!
I went back to CVS today hoping they would still have the clearance huggies. Sunday when I was there they only had 2 packs left. Today I went and bought the last 2 packs of clearance diapers. They were Huggies Pure & Natural Newborn. I got both packs for $3.13 including tax. They were signed 50% but they rang up cheaper than that, I think! Love it when that happens. I used 2 of the $1.50 coupons that were in the paper last sunday. The diapers rang up $2.87 each before the coupons. My receipt says I saved $20.24. Diapers are outrageous if you pay full price for them.

Spent $1.33 (including tax) at CVS Saved $10.98
I haven't been couponing as much as I would like to lately because I haven't had the money to buy stuff we don't need. But you can't turn down free and unbeatable deals.
Today at CVS some select cardholders got a coupon when they scanned their card at the coupon machine for a .99 12pck of Pepsi or Diet Pepsi. I was skeptical last night when I read about this and even after I got the e-mail from CVS I still wondered. Well I went in today and scanned my card and I got the coupon. So I got a 12 pck of Pepsi for only .99.
I also got some free stuff while I was there. I had a raincheck from when the 3pck. Ivory soap was on sale for .99 I had 2 $1/1 coupons so I got both for free. I also used the $1/1 crystal light coupons that were in the paper this past sun. and got 6 individual packets for free. These are 2/$1 and since the coupon was for $1 one coupon covered 2.
I've got more deals planned for tomorrow so it will be neat to see at the end of the week total how much I've spent and saved.

CVS Deals
This week CVS has their Purex 3 In 1 Sheets on sale for Buy 1 Get 1 Free. It's the detergent, softener, and anti-static all in one sheet. These go in the washer and then you transfer to the dryer with your clothes. There were $3/1 coupons in the 10/10 inserts. I had somewhat of a problem getting the deal. The 3 In 1 Sheets were ringing up $9.19 Buy 1 Get 1 Free. The sign said sheets or liquid Buy 1 Get 1 Free 6.49. They have to honor the sign in a case like this so because I read the sign and mentioned it I got two of the 3 In 1 Sheets for $6.49 I had 2 of the $3/1 coupons So I got 2 packs of the 3 In 1 Sheets for .49! This is why it pays to always notice the signs and what they charge you at the register and say something if the shelf price is cheaper!!
I also got a small bag of the brach's candy pumpkins for free. This week the red coupon machine is printing out $1 coupons of brach's candy. The small bags of candy corn or pumpkins are on sale for .99 Always scan your card when you go in at the big red machine. You can use these coupons with regular manufactor coupons for great savings.

Paid $0.00 Out Of Pocket- Got $5 ECB's at CVS
Sorry we have been such blog slackers around here but that's what happens when you get busy with life!
I found time to go to CVS yesterday. I was wanting to use some Extra Care bucks and get some back. I didn't really want to spend the ECB's I had on stuff I really didn't need. I went in the store with $10 extra care bucks. The colgate total was on sale for $2.99 and you get $2 ecb's back. I had 2 manuf. coupons and 1 store coupon for the toothpaste. I bought 2 toothpaste and had a $1.00 off 2 skippy peanut butter coupon that I got out of the red coupon machine. I scanned my card at the machine when I went in and received a coupon for 10% off ( I think) of my order good for 3 days only. Always give them your extra care bucks first before handing over your additional coupons. With all these coupons my total ended up being in the negative, the cashier was a young guy and was very nice and kept on adding tax til my total was $0.00 I got $5 in ecb's back! $4 for 2 toothpaste and $1 for the green bag tag.
If you don't know what the green bag tag is it's a tag that you buy for .99 and attach to any reusable shopping bag, have the card scanned each time you shop and after 4 scans on 4 different days it will print out a $1.00 extra care buck on anything.
